Ladies and Gentlemen:
At the BCA on the evening of Wednesday, October 17, we will be sponsoring a lecture by arborist Jason Rihn from Bartlett Tree Experts, who takes care of the trees on our corners (saved them from bagworm just last season!!).
Jason will present and take audience questions, plus I am going to invite members of the Churchill Tree Committee, who are working on policies to protect our beautiful local canopy to be present, to answer questions as well. We'd also like to include members of local clubs, such as the Churchill Garden Club and the Forest Hills Garden Club, to be attend.
I thought maybe we could raffle off a tree or tree-related item, and serve treets! (Get it?? LOL) with the same theme (from trees or look like trees or sound like tree names or anything else fun--but easy!)
AND--I am looking for volunteers to help with:
invitations and graphics (leaflets?)
setup and cleanup (log in early; leaf late!)
treets and drinks (will be phloem freely!)
greeting (be a bud!)
raffle (it will be nuts!)
anything I am forgetting (we can branch out!)
Would you like to volunteer to help? (Don't be a sap!! Volunteer!) Do you have any questions, comments, or suggestions? You'll enjoy the fruit of our labor!
