Fundraiser with Penn Hills Lawn & Garden

The BGC will be participating in a new fundraiser this year that Penn Hills Lawn & Garden is sponsoring for local garden clubs. It's called "Grow Some Green for Your Garden Club in 2017," and the guidelines follow. Darcy Kennedy of PHL&G will be attending our executive board meeting at the BCA at 10:00 AM on February 20 (before our regular meeting and lecture at noon) to provide more details and to answer questions. • All garden club members receive a V.I.G. card for 2017.  Present the card at the register upon checkout each time you shop throughout the entire year and receive 10% off your total purchase.  (some exclusions apply)
• Mention your garden club name upon checkout between April 1st and December 31st 2017 and an additional 5% of your total purchase will be placed in your garden club fund. 
• Tell friends, family, neighbors etc. to help support your club by mentioning the club name upon checkout.  Non-garden club members do NOT receive a 10% discount, but can have 5% of their total purchase put into the garden club fund.  (no additional coupons or discounts can be used by non-members when contributing 5% to the club). 
• At the end of the year if your club has accrued the most money in its fund, the club will win your 5% PLUS the 5% accrued by ALL participating garden clubs.  (We must have at least 5 clubs participate to hold the contest). 
• Even if your club does not win the grand prize, it will receive a check for 1% of your fund total.  ​
