Democracy in America--Redistricting Where Do We Go From Here?
2022 is the 10th year of the redistricting cycle in Pennsylvania. Every 10 years Congressional and State voting districts are drawn following each US Census. The redistricting cycle’s coincidence with the U.S. Census cycle is intended to ensure that voting is reflective of regional population changes. This is an essential action that is designed to maintain fair elections. In Pennsylvania the process and outcome of redistricting is complex. Please join us for a webinar panel discussion devoted to the redistricting process in Pennsylvania with David Thornburgh (Draw the Lines), Carol Kuniholm (Fair Districts PA), Matthew Haverstick (Redistricting Attorney)with moderator Jon Delano (KDKD-TV).
Please click here to register for this free event. The event is sponsored by The Denis Theatre Foundation, League of Women Votersof Greater Pittsburgh and the Mt. Lebanon Public Library. The event is a part of our on-going Democracy in America Series.

In Honor of Tony Schryer
Saturday, 10/14
7pm, BCA Clubhouse
As many of you know, the Blackridge community recently lost a dear friend. Tony Schryer died Wednesday, September 20, and we will all miss him very much.
His family would like to celebrate Tony’s happiness living in Blackridge with an Ice Cream Social in conjunction with the Blackridge Talent Show on Saturday, October 14, 7pm at the BCA. This event is free for all!
Tony was a people person. He was genuinely interested in how folks were doing. We hope that this fun event will be a great way to remember him and how he touched so many lives in the community.
We’ve got a lot of great acts to help make this a wonderful event. We could use a few more! Can you play the piano? Can you dance? Do you do magic tricks? Sing? Gymnastics? Mime?
Note: If you are a piano player, we will have an excellent weighted-key, full keyboard, digital piano for the event.
If you’d like to perform your fun and entertaining act at the talent show, email Maria ([email protected]) soon! Let her know what your act is and we’ll put it in the program.
Bring a snack to share.
Looking forward this meaningful and fun event!
