Hi, everyone!
I had a very busy September but am back for a bit before some October events. I understand the tour of the Beulah gardens and lunch at Panera was fun and beautiful. Thank you Lil, for coordinating this September tour, and always working so hard for the Garden Club. Many hands make light work, as the saying goes, so please come down to the parking lot and let EJ outfit you with an orange vest for safety and help us pick up trash along Beulah. It all starts around 8:30 am. Lil and Neal always bring warm and yummy treats as a reward. See you there, Nancy

Hi Everybody,
A neighbor noticed that trees that are at the top of the stairs leading down to the park from the parking lot were hit by lightening. The trees need to be cut down so that they do not inadvertently fall. We are looking for volunteers to cut the trees down and leave the wood near the fire pit in the park. If you can help this will 1): save the BCA the big expense of hiring a landscaper to cut down the trees 2): provide free wood to us for our Fall Fest on October 13th. Can you please let me know if you can help with this effort by Friday, September 21st? And if you respond yes, please let me know dates you are available so I can coordinate a team. Also please let me know if you can bring a chainshaw if you are able to help. Please also forward this to anyone else in the community that you think may be able to help. Thanks so much! Jen Suiters ![]() As part of the Blackridge community, the Blackridge Garden Club will be participating in the Fall Festival on Saturday, October 13th. Promises were made to share more info about friend of the BGC Bob Messner's newly finished Braddock History Center. Consider the promise kept, as we point you to the new website! Enjoy....that we accidentally detoured all the way over there.....when we were headed here......to purchase plants for the corners. We got some great stuff with our Pittsburgh Botanic Garden discount at Lake Forest, which is one of the nurseries listed among our faves. |
