As I mentioned last week,as part of the BCA's 501c3 endeavor, we are conducting two "Meet the Candidates" sessions as a public service, and Ceil and I are coordinating refreshments. Thank you to BGC members EJ Foster, Emilie Freese, Tara Taylor, and Jeanette Trauth who helped us last week with cookie donations for the Penn Hills event. We got rave reviews! Jen Suiters and Wanda Hughes from the BCA also sent cookies!
The next event is this coming Tuesday, May 2 for Churchill Candidates, at the BCA, from 6-7:30 pm. I'm looking for a few more donations of cookies this week. I do have some left over from last time, which I froze, so I'll need a bit less than last week. Please let me know if you can help, and I'll make arrangements to pick up the cookies. Thanks again!! 1. Penn Hills Candidates - April 25 (6:00 - 7:30 pm) 2. Churchill Candidates - May 2 (6:00 - 7:30 pm) I'm looking for donations of cookies, decaf, tea, cups, napkins, plates, sugar, creamer, etc, from Blackridge neighbors, and I know that our BGC members are good citizens, so I hope some of you will be able to come through for one of both of the evenings. Please let me know if you can help, and I'll make arrangements to pick up the cookies. Thanks again!! jad New Member Special: Joining the BGC is only 35 dollars per year, and the membership year normally runs from the beginning of July to the end of June, but if you join us now, we'll give you a couple of bonus months--from the time you join up until July of 2018.
