Hi all you savvy  online members!   Nancy has asked me to do the luncheon for the March 6 Bill Henninger's  history of Kennywood Park talk and, particularly because it is on a Wednesday, I have little to go on for number attending.  Would really appreciate a yes/no reply.  Would you mind hitting the respond key and letting me know.  (Or call: 244-1864)
 
Second, I have heard Bill give this talk and have been urging that he come to Blackridge, either thru the BCA or the Garden Club.   We got him first and I can't tell you enough about how interesting it is.  I would urge you to alert neighbors who might be interested (I'm thinking of folks like the Schryers or Jean Peterson, for example) and any at home spouses.   I must admit a fear that Bill will come and we'll only have a handful of people.
 
Third, a heads up on super exhibit at the History Center.  Ed and I went Wednesday and loved it!  The theme of this traveling show is 1968: the year that changed America.  It runs into May, parking is across the street,
I guarantee it to be enjoyable and informative -- and heavy on the nostalgia!
 
Finally, once again I am collecting bottles or cash donations for the Basket of Cheer benefit prize.  So far I have ONE contribution.   I'll bring a carton from the state store to  the March 6 meeting or you can leave donations inside either the back or front door at my house: 1648 Georgetown.
