Bob's History Center is at last ready to open on Saturday, August 18, after 17 years of work by him. Landscaping-wise, many things remain to be done, but as you can see, many things have already been accomplished.
I thought you might be interested in what has taken the whole summer of 2012. Since the heat was so intense, these are the plantings which have survived, and some have even thrived. Plants which do not show up are a sweet little serviceberry (Auction 360) and a lovely ninebark (Beall's), which replaced a dogwood which died. Notice the steep bank is covered with the sedum that Amy Bluedorn and I first liberated from a deserted driveway in the neighborhood!
